Living the Dream

Exploring the Book of Daniel

Sunday Sermon Series, February 7 - March 21, 2010

600 B.C. Babylon was a lot like 21st century Seattle. Babylonians idolized wealth, youth, beauty and all the luxuries of a powerful kingdom. They were living the dream. Then came Daniel, a Jew from Jerusalem, exiled to Babylon to serve King Nebuchadnezzar. Unexpectedly, he quickly rose to power in King’s court. Daniel survived and thrived in Babylon, yet while honoring his God and choosing to live an entirely different dream.

Christians in Seattle are living in exile, too - strangers in a foreign land. If Seattle is a lot like Babylon, we have a lot to learn from Daniel. Join us for a sermon series about surviving and thriving in exile, and choosing to live God's dream.
